Humility, a virtue that opens closed doors

As I sat down in church today during service, my attention was diverted to the children that left the church together. They were two girls and a boy. I was sitting right opposite the entrance door.
While they were outside, one of the girls pulled up her pink flowered short gown. She removed her small panties, bent down low and started urinating. She faced the entrance of the church, such that everyone inside could get a clear picture of her, but, in her innocence, she didn’t mind. The children should be between 5 and 7 years old.
When the first small girl was done, the second one followed suit, doing the exact same thing the first did, smiling innocently to her friends while urinating. Then, came the small boy. He backed the church entrance, standing and urinating. He channeled his urine to go so high, that one may begin to wonder if he was actually passing urine out or playing with it.
Then, it struck me. Immediately, I remembered what was written in the scripture about living life like little children. I also began to imagine how life would have been if I was reborn. I pondered on how beautiful and innocent the world of the little ones is, and how happy they are. They do everything they do in total simplicity, humility and cheerfulness.  Can that kind of happiness and innocence still be found among the adults?
There is no joy that is greater than that which comes from good deeds done without ulterior motive. Now ask yourself these questions... Is there any way my actions have wronged someone by my side? How to i treat certain challenges that sometimes seem so bad that i do not know where else to go, or what else to do? Have i done things out of my selfish interest to subject another person to hardship? How did you think your victim would feel? If the same thing was done to you, would you be happy about it?
Again, search yourself. Think about all the mistakes you have made so far, all the wrong decisions you have made in the past, etc. If you were given another opportunity to live again, and right all your wrongs, what roles would you play? How do you start the race? You should know that when you keep on waiting for the perfect time to present itself, it may never come by. There is still time for you too take a U-turn in your lifestyle. Do not try to enjoy everything in this world, because there are still a lot more you for you to enjoy later. There is nothing like working for something at the right time and reaping from your toils also at the right time, rather than whiling away your time, and when it becomes too late for you to make achievements, you start apportioning blames to others.
This is the right time for you to take responsibility for your actions. Try and imitate little children in their humility, patience, and hardworking way. When you do this, you will forever remain young at heart and in mind.
