How To Be The Best Version Of Yourself
There is nothing more fulfilling than knowing who you really are and making your purpose on earth an achievement.
72% of people, both young and old are blindly following a path they do not know - they simply do not know what they want out of life. For the few that have a hazy idea of what they want, achieving it seems to be a major challenge for them.
Below are 7 ways you can truly discover yourself and also become the best version of yourself:
1. Never allow your challenges to pull you down: For as long as you are alive and are a human being, one thing is for sure. This is it - challenges will come your way, a whole lot of them. But, what would determine how strong you are afterwards is how you were able to fight and conquer them. You can decide to stay still, do nothing about your situation and nothing would spoil. But, when you decide to stand strong and act, you would see yourself become victorious, stronger and happier.
2. Never try to imitate anyone: Within you lies a great being- more like a dragon that is so eager to break out of the dungeon it has been chained in for a long time. If you keep on suppressing your abilities because of the fear of what people would say, feel or look at you, you would find yourself sad and dying in silence.
If all the people we celebrate today ranging from Thomas Edison to Lionel Messi, Oprah Winfrey, Barack Obama, Joyce Meyer, Bill Gates, Chimamanda Adichie, Wole Soyinka and a host of others stayed in their comfort zone wondering how people would react to their actions and ideas, they would not be where they are today. So, stop thinking backwards. Think positive and take action.
3. Take it step by step: Once you have decided to make a change in the world, the next thing to do is to draw out your drawing board and sketch a plan. It should not be something you just wake up and decide to do. If you rush in, that is the same way you would rush out. So, you should think critically about the pros and cons, and how to manage some challenges related to your field and the ones that might take you by surprise. When you are convinced that that is what you really want, then, you strike.
Another thing you should bear in mind is that it would not be easy. The road to success is always crooked and only those with patience and perseverance can trade on it and come out with victory.
4. Do not Procrastinate: Sometimes, when we have big dreams or task to accomplish, we always have the notion that "there is time". Then, at one point, when we realize that time is no more on our side, we tend to rush everything. The more you pile up tasks for yourself, the lesser the possibility of achieving it at the right time efficiently.

5. It is not yet late:
As long as there is life, there is hope. Do not give up. Do not punish yourself
by always thinking about the times you failed, but try to find out ways to
better yourself. Know this! Whatever position you find yourself in, there is
someone you are better than, who wishes to be where you are or have what you have-
just as you sometimes wish to be in another person’s shoes.
6. Take a break: Have some
alone time for yourself. There is a popular saying that goes thus, “all work
and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. This simply means that when you do not have
time to relax your body and mind after so many hours of work, you would be less
productive.
At a point in the midst
of your struggle when you feel stuck, just give yourself a break. It is better
to have a break than a breakdown. Take proper care of yourself. Make sure you
have a good personal hygiene. Exercise subsequently to keep your body and mind sharp
and ready to do more work.
7. There should be no
going back: Once you start your journey, there should be no going back. That is
to say you should be determined and follow your aspiration with passion. Being
passionate about your endeavor would only keep you going even when the world
wants you to give up.
NOTE: Before doing anything,
put God first and every other thing will work out perfectly. For with Him,
everything is possible.
